One weekend, I was visiting friends who have moved to spend their retirement in a very small village. It is so quiet there that if one is trying to meditate, there won’t be any excuse to not being able to do so!
On Sunday, we drove to the next big town in the area. found this very tall tower beside the church there. The door was closed but I don’t think I would’ve ventured to climb it even if it was possible to do so! It looked too intimidating to me.

What about you? Would you’ve climbed up?
For Dan’s Thursday Doors.
In this blog, I focus on sharing some of the photographs that I capture, often during my travels but also in the everyday life. If you’d like to read about my travels, you can find the stories on this blog – Reflections on the River.
I think I would venture the climb. Not only are you met with great views from the top, it’s an opportunity for a bit of exercise while traveling!

That’s a great tower and a formidable door. If it was open, and if there was enough light inside, I might give it a shot. I generally climb towers and lighthouses.

Intriguing tower and door. I wonder how the hanging chain beside the door was utilitzed?
