I found this charming door in a half-timbered house, with a planter made out of old tyres. The glowing light filtering through the glass on the door makes me curious what is the decor inside. And the lamp above the door makes me imagine how cute it would look at night!

But the sloping road makes me wonder if there is a grate right at the door to prevent water pooling when it would rain heavily. Hmm..I should’ve peeked in to see…

This is adorable, very inviting even if you have to step down and duck. Nice photo!

There is certainly charm to the door and its setting, but I’m having a hard time picturing anyone using it. But then that’s probably part of the charm.

Thanks, Maureen π. Hmm..I guess I could have waited there to see someone going in or coming out of that door π.

I like that you just reach out to water that planter! Perfect height with the slant they have. Love that door!

This looks so European. I remember some of the houses we rented in Portugal were on a very steep street. Luckily, the entry doors were not low as this one. Even with a grate, if it pours, I am afraid some water could get in the house.

A very steep first step to the door. I agree this house would look inviting at night.

Charming is the perfect word to describe this door. The sloping road must make entering and exiting an interesting process.
