There is an amazing castle in Romania – the Peles Castle. Although in Romania, one would feel like being inside a German castle. No mystery there for the King – Carol I, belonged to a German royal family.
I found this beautiful door in one of the rooms there. The room is called Florentine room and has the motifs from the Italian Renaissance. The carvings on this door are amazing! I think the door portrays Soldier and Farmer (Vigor relating to Battlefield and Sator relating to Farming). I may be wrong but I couldn’t find any explanation so far anywhere, so I will go with my guess π. Let me know what do you think.

For Danβs Thursday Doors.
The benches flanking the door aren’t bad, either!

What I think is that it’s amazing and someone or someones spent a lot of time and artistic talent making it! Thanks to you for sharing it. π
