What is large and what is small? It’s funny that we usually think of it in absolute terms but actually we are talking about it how it seems relative to us and from where are we seeing it.
Like this entrance of the Mehrangarh Fort which seems so large compared with humans on foot but may be not so big when the Kings astride their Elephants would’ve been entering in the past.

Now this realization is making me rethink about some of the problems that in my head seem to be too big but actually they are not when seen from a different vantage point. Time to tackle them from a fresh perspective!
For Cees Fun Foto Challenge Anything Large and Dan’s Thursday Doors.
In this blog, I focus on sharing some of the photographs that I capture, often during my travels but also in the everyday life. If you’d like to read about my travels, you can find the stories on this blog – Reflections on the River.
So grand! Makes one look up to realize how insignificant one is…

i love the philosophy of looking at problems from a different perspective. i confess though that i’ve only recently started to be more consistent about it. but even though it hasn’t helped me solve anything yet, I’m confident that it will eventually help me greatly in articulating/solving something that may have deep meaning to me.
that’s an amazing photo of the gate with the afternoon sun coming through it. thanks for sharing

Glad that you liked the post π. Philosophy- yes, it seems theoretical but we need some theory to deal with the practical world. If the first one one doesnβt work, then we look for the another one and eventually weβll find the one that works π

i love your pragmatism! π
the line from theory to applicability is the story of my life, lol. your post immediately reminded me of something that I want to share with you and perhaps can give you some entertainment. this particular study has been a problem solving compass for me throughout my career and when I read your post about problem solving and perspective, I was reminded of it. hope you enjoy! have a great day!

Thanks Dan π. It is a magnificent fort, one of the best I’ve seen. So can definitely recommend to put it on your list if you are visiting India.
